Optical Systems and Components

Design and manufacturing of opto-electronic and opto-mechanical components which are fundamental parts of each optical measuring device. The features and the success of an optical measuring method depends strongly on the features of light detectors and light sources:

Photo Detector Modules


  • Development and manufacture of optoelectronic system components:  high-speed photo detectors
  • Signal-conditioning in light detectors
  • Design and development of high speed light detectors using avalanche photo diodes. Technical data:
    • Spectral range: 400-1000 nm
    • Sensitivity: ≈ 30kV/W
    • Electrical signal rise time: <0.5ns
  • Development of fast passive and active light detectors using PIN photo diodes with medium and large active area (see Fig. 1 for an example). Technical data:
    • Spectral range: 400-1000 nm
    • Sensitivity: ≈ 300V/W
    • Electrical rise time: 1ns … 15ns

Laser Diode Modules

  • Development and manufacture of optoelectronic system components: high-speed laser diode drivers.
  • Signal-conditioning in light emitters.
  • Development and design of pulsed laser diodes with special pulse laser diodes. Technical data:
    • Spectral wavelength: 905 nm
    • Peak power: 100mW-100W
    • Pulse duration: 2ns – 50ns
  • Conventional bipolar/MOSFET transistor laser diode drivers with variable pulse-width and diode current.

High-Voltage Generators

  • High voltage modules without transformers and coils. Technical data:

    • Voltage range: UHV=100..220V
    • Current: IHV=0..5mA
